The OECD has recently developed a simple definition of rural areas for making international comparisons of rural conditions and trends. But what I lacked was a book that would bridge the theory and practice of health and development. It includes resources on funding trends, community benefits, economic impact, planning, case studies and model programs, federal and private funding sources, and lists of key organizations.
