      The authors have done a superb job demonstrating the practicality of applying lessons learned in a variety of crisis incidents. Early on, the magazine fostered an interest in higher education, reporting how the black universities were operating financially and administratively and on the hardships these colleges endured. Real opportunities for transformative change lie in preparing for any crisis. So where are the opportunities for growth in these two cases?
